I still don’t have internet at my humble abode here in America’s heartland, so I apologize for the lack of updates lately. I’ve been wanting to share with you this fantastic APOD photo by Alex Cherney. If the sky is dark enough, the moon is hidden away and the conditions are just right, the Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way can be bright enough to be seen vividly with the naked eye. In this photo, taken at Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia, the glow of the Milky Way casts tenuous shadows with the help of this rock formation, named Loch Ard Gorge. i feel like i haven’t seen a sky full of stars in years. YEARS.
